Some of the MusiCares Outreach team began their Chinese New Year Holiday with a visit to the Home of Loving Faithfulness. Here are their reflections
The trip to the disabled home was an interesting experience. Our audience had physical and/or mental disabilities, and sometimes did weird movements. The staff is very hospitable, offering us a wide variety of refreshments. We learned a lot about the mission of the place. Thank you, Home of Loving Faithfulness for having us!
I thought this was a very nice and interesting experience, because we could play violin for the disabled people and I really enjoyed it.
I liked seeing how happy some of the disabled people were when they got to hear our music. Also the helpers seemed very passionate about their job.
I liked that we got to see an exclusive tour of the place. It really shows the history, how old it is, and how dedicated they are to their job.
I like that the people were really happy to listen unlike some centres where people don’t care. The staff were very enthusiastic and it shows how they enjoyed it.
I liked in the end I heard our violin music being played on a radio. I also liked how nice the helpers were, offering us snacks too.
