On Saturday, 19 March, a great group of cello, viola and violin students and parents, all of the KSMA string faculty, and even J.S. Bach himself(!) met at Pier 9 to perform in honor of Bach’s birthday.
From the youngest students singing a special rendition of Minuet 1 with their parents, to the most advanced violin students joining with some of the cellists and students from the Prokofiev class to play a special arrangement of Bach’s Chorale “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”, our students celebrated Bach’s birthday in wonderful style.
At the end of the performance, our own “JS Bach”, Mr. Graham, led all of the students in a Twinkle parade!
Thanks to all of the parents for making the necessary arrangements and plans to ensure that your children could participate!
